Message from Marc Christie

Congratulations to us all

Our first event was a tremendous success. Many thanks must be given:

Penny Cromwell:  For having the idea and the ability to pull it all together.  The set up was excellent.

Mr and Mrs King:  An excellent night of music well coordinated with the group. Mrs. King for maintaining the constant supply of food and the help given to Penny.

Ernie  Halstead, Wayne McBean & Michael Hibbert:  for obtaining quality donated items which enhanced our silent auction.

Steve Ferreira, Shannon Ferreira, Katrona James, Godfrey James,Kate Van Buskirk, Seanna Martin and likely more who assisted with the set up and the selling of the tickets all night long.

Godfrey James and Earl Batson for staffing the bar.  We started with our non drinkers. Thanks to all the other guys who substituted later and gave these guys a break.

A couple of highlights of note:

We would like to thank all of those who attended Sharika Farmer's Birthday (she turned 15).

Athena Mc Bean for being the unofficial winner of the Limbo contest.  I have lodged a protest as she did not wear shoes.

Best Male. dancer under 19 is Shannon King.  Best dancer over nineteen will be determined when we review the tapes of the parents dancing.  Usually we sell these to the children.

Three other track clubs joined us as guests.

Send me any highlights I missed that we can print

Send me any thoughts or suggestions for next year.

Thanks again to everyone who attended.

Marc Christie
